If you are visiting Ambleside you have to book this hotel. The hotel looks like is recently renovated and the rooms are pretty nice. The atmosphere was nice and cozy.

I have booked the room for 6 days with my wife. Beds were comfortable and the space was always pretty clean. Staff members have been very helpful and welcoming and always made us feel good. Rooms are large and also the closet. The bathroom have been pretty clean plus the shower was good. Not a really social hotel anyway, maybe was during our stay.

This hotel was definitely centrally positioned and the personnel on the reception were available at every time. The beds ended up comfortable and the other guests had been typically respectful with everyone so the atmosphere was nice.The air-con was off and on, couldn´t fix it at the end. Pretty awesome hotel and great location. I Absolutely suggest Melrose Guesthouse!

Excellent place, every little thing is nearby. Staff members are super welcoming and handy and speak great English. You will discover activities just about every evening and it´s a great way to meet persons. Rooms and amenities are good and towels changed daily. Only problem was my bed for being somewhat squeaky but that’s very minor. Wonderful quality for the money!
