If you are visiting Reykjavik you have to book at CenterHotel Skjaldbreid. The hotel looks like it´s renovated and the rooms are very clean. In general great quality and unique ambience.

I have stayed for 2 nights with my spouse. Beds were being big enough and the space was usually clean. Staff members were incredibly helpful and pleasant and every day took care to make us feel good. Rooms are large as well as the closet. The bathroom have been clean plus the shower was super cool. Not a super social hotel however, maybe it was like this all along our stay.
